Why do I need to register for myYrewards?

MyYrewards is a loyalty program that lets you choose rewards you want. We have great rewards in all your favorite categories. When you register, you create an account that lets you track your points and activities. Getting started is easy. Register, visit the Y and start collecting today. Just visit your YMCA center to collect points per daily scan. Then redeem your points for rewards at myYrewards.com.

How do I register?

Click on the Register Now link on the Home Page of myYrewards.com. The person ID number (5-6 digit number located on your membership card) and your last name into the top form of the registration page, next to the membership card that is in color. From there you will be prompted for the personal information required to set up your account. Once you submit your information you will receive a Welcome email. After that, you can begin collecting points with your next YMCA visit. Plus, you'll immediately receive a 500 point sign up bonus and a free token for our Spin & Win Wheel.

Why do I keep receiving a message saying I have entered an Invalid ID?

Try entering your person ID number (5-6 digit number located on your membership card) into the other form as well. The two cards on each form are very similar and can be easily confused with the other.

Try re-entering your number and make sure there are no spaces between or after the digits. If you are still experiencing problems, please contact help@myyrewards.com for assistance. Be sure to include your FULL name and person ID number (if you know it) in your message.

Why is an email address required?

Email allows us to communicate information and deliver updates (like monthly updates of your point balance). You are certainly able to opt out of receiving notifications, but email provides us a fast and reliable way to reach you if we experience difficulties processing your rewards.

Can more than one person register using the same email address?

You can have the same email address and mailing address, but every username must be unique.

How can I manage my email preferences?

Upon registration, myYrewards offered you the opportunity to subscribe to email notices. If you wish to be removed from the list, simply follow the instructions at the bottom of the email to unsubscribe. Please note that we send certain account or program management information (Point balances, etc.) but do not share your email address with outside parties.

I'm having trouble logging into my account. What do I do?

With all the usernames and passwords out there, it's easy to forget one. If that's the case, go to myyrewards.com/forgot_my_username to retrieve your username or myyrewards.com/forgot_my_password to retrieve your password. Also, be sure that you type it in correctly and that your caps lock isn't turned on.

In addition, you may want to check your browser's security setting to ensure that it's allowing cookies to be saved to your computer. A cookie is simply a site's way of recognizing users when they return. For more information on this, refer to your browser's help instructions on how to allow cookies.

I don't remember my password; what do I need to do to get it sent to me?

For security reasons, we won't send you your old password, but click on the Forgot Password link, enter your email address and we will send you an email containing a temporary password you can enter. Please be sure that the email which you registered with is still valid and active. If you do not receive an email from us, check that you entered your address correctly and that the email wasn't sent to your junk mail folder.

I received my temporary password by email, but it doesn’t seem to be working.

The password is case-sensitive so make sure you are entering it exactly as it appears in your email. Also, it’s very important that if you do copy and paste from your email, that you do not copy an extra space after the password. If there is an extra space pasted into the password field, it will reject the temporary password.

I just joined or rejoined the YMCA today. When I try to register with my person ID number and last name, it says it is invalid.

Since you are such a new member myYrewards does not have you in their system yet. Sometimes it takes between 24-72 hours, but most likely you will be able to register tomorrow morning. When it’s ready, it will accept your person ID in the top form, next to the membership card that is in color.
